Cryo Therapy

Form of cold therapy.

Cryo-therapy is a form of cold therapy that works to remove fat from troublesome areas of the body by manually shocking the fat cells using thermal shocks. The temperature changes work to reduce your fat cells through a process called apoptosis. The temperature of the area Cryo21 is applied to is slowly reduced, resulting in dead fat cells being eliminated. Essentially, the process transforms ‘white fat’ cells into ‘brown fat’ cells through the application of cold. The brown cells are far easier for your body to metabolize, allowing you to naturally rid yourself of excess fat.

In addition to fat reduction, Cryo21 is also effective when it comes to treating joint and muscle pain as it releases endorphins into your system in much the same way a good workout would. It also reduces tendon and muscle inflammation, as well as soreness, by flushing lactic acid from your muscles. The treatment can also be used to aid in recovery following crush injuries.

Treatments to between 20 and 30 minutes per session, with the time varying depending on which area of the body is being treated. The dead fat cells affected by the treatment will leave your body in about 14 days, and as such it’s inadvisable to treat the same area more frequently than once every two weeks. That being said, multiple areas can easily be managed independently of each other, meaning you don’t have to wait two weeks between treatments, simply switch the area of focus.

It generally takes 4-6 treatments to achieve the desired results, with the whole process taking from 8 to 12 weeks in total. Exactly how much fat is successfully removed varies from one person to the next, however, it isn’t uncommon for Cryo21 to result in the removal of 40% of fat cells in the treatment area. It’s a completely safe, FDA-approved way of trimming down those excess inches.
