VI Peels
What is VI Peels?
VI Peels are a medium-strength chemical peel used to revitalize the appearance of your skin and improve the signs of aging or sun damage. Developed by Vitality Institute, VI Peels are made with a synergistic blend of medical-grade ingredients that deliver dramatic results more quickly than similar treatments. When applied to the skin, VI Peels remove dull and damaged cells to reveal a fresh, healthy complexion underneath. This improves the tone, texture and clarity of your skin while minimizing the appearance of blemishes, fine lines, brown spots, enlarged pores, acne scars and other imperfections.
VI Peels contain a proprietary formula that includes salicylic acid, trichloroacetic acid (TCA), vitamin C, phenol, and retinoic acid. This unique combination quickly penetrates the top layer of skin and treats a number of common concerns with minimal downtime. VI Peels are also highly versatile and well-tolerated, able to be performed almost anywhere on the body.

What to Expect During VI Peels Treatment
VI Peels can be completed in 30 minutes or less, but this may vary depending on the size of your treatment area. Our aesthetic experts will start the procedure by cleansing your skin to remove any dirt or oil, then apply the peel solution in two layers. The first will treat the surface of your skin, while the second will penetrate more deeply to stimulate cellular renewal. You might feel some mild burning or stinging during the application process, but VI Peels contain a local anesthetic to minimize any discomfort. Once it dries, your provider will explain the next steps and send you home with further instructions.
Unlike other peels, you will leave the office with the solution still on your skin and rinse it off a few hours later. After removing the peel, your skin will look red and slightly swollen, but you will be given specific products to soothe and calm the treated area. Over the next week, your skin will begin to peel and reveal a brighter, healthier and clearer complexion. During this time, it’s important to avoid picking at your skin and allow any flakes to slough off naturally; otherwise, you risk side effects like scarring or hyperpigmentation. Your results begin to appear after seven days and continue to develop for up to six weeks due to increased cellular turnover.
